The City of Monroe Community Center opened its doors in February of 2004. Located at 602 East Church Street, the city leases four different areas of this facility:
1. A small public use room will hold 40 to 60 seated guests.
2. The large public use room holds 80 to 120 seated guests and includes access to the adjacent kitchen area.
3. The auditorium will hold 200 plus guests and will include access to the downstairs kitchen.
4. A person can also lease the whole facility, which would include five small public use rooms, the large public use room, auditorium, and kitchen area.
The Community Center is a perfect choice for wedding receptions, business meetings, banquets, birthday parties, conferences, class and family reunions. There is ample parking behind the building, and a small city park located almost directly across the street.
